Shea butter has been called “women’s gold” not only for its rich golden color but also because it primarily provides employment and income to millions of women across the continent. Using traditional methods, women, often organized in cooperatives, harvest karité fruits. They then crush the nuts inside to extract the precious butter, which is boiled, cleaned, packaged and sold at the local markets or exported. This butter is then gently mixed with delicate coconut, avocado, and olive oils; Vitamin E is added, which creates a natural barrier to keep moisture in your skin, and doubles as a natural preservative to keep your scrub fresh for up to a year. Therapeutic grade essential oils and high grade fragrances which are phthalate, paraben free, and California proposition 65 compliant.
